Three Indians in Top 10 ODI Batsmen

Rohit Sharma is at Number 9 in the ICC ODI Player Ranking. He has displaced Fakhar Zaman from that spot. Rohit Sharma has been in good ODI form and his fitness is improving as well. However, Fakhar Zaman has been in very poor form and has also been dropped from the Playing 11 against Sri Lanka in the virtual semi – final in the Asia Cup 2023.

This is also the first time since September 2018 that three Indian batsmen are in the top 10 of the ODI rankings. Four years ago, Rohit, Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan were all in the top six.

Pakistan also have three batters in the top ten, with Babar still at the top with a lead of more than 100 rating points over Gill. Imam ul Haq and Fakhar Zaman are the other two Pakistani batters. South African ODI Captain Temba Bavuma has advanced 21 places to reach a career-best No. 11 after scoring three centuries and two half-centuries in his last eight ODIs.
